Standard and Poor's has upgraded our financial strength rating from A to A+


As a result of its recent review of UK life insurers, Standard and Poor's - a global leader
in the credit rating and credit risk analysis, has revised Standard Life Assurance Limited's
long term financial strength rating from A to A+.

The fact that such a key opinion former has acknowledged the progress made by Standard Life
